Yes, the bus stand is within walking distance from the resort. Or you can catch the bus at the Cable Car Bus Station at Gotong Jaya to Genting Highlands.

Our suggestion Is better to take Cable car to Genting instead of bus. Cable car charges is RM 10.00 per person (two ways)

Daily at 8.00 am to 10 pm.

Hi there, I would be travelling to Genting next week. I read to take cable car then walk… But can you advice exactly which cable car service to take – Genting Skyway or Awana Skyway?

So from the Skyway station i get out of the build at which level and walk towards which direction.

    Thanks in advance

      gentingpermai responded:
      June 15, 2010 at 5:42 am

Genting Skyway is located at Genting Hotel on the left side of the building. you then walk toward the basement level (food court) if you continue to walk you will reach the main lobby of the hotel, from there you get down to theme park or walk the link way to 1 st world hotel.

Regard to awana skyway, i’m not sure it still in operation. normally we take the cable from gotong jaya station. it takes about 20-25 minutes to reach the peak.

      Hi purple,
If you staying at Ist world hotel, then it would easy to take the cable car down to gotong jaya station ( One way ticket) from there, take a cab to strawberry / mushroom farm. Very short ride from the station less then 1 KM.

If you decide to visit CHin swee temple then back to Hotel. I suggest you hire a cab at cable station, you can negotiate the charges with the taxis/cab.
You can’t take bus down or up to visit the said temple. They won’t stop at the temple.

      Have a nice trip.

Hello, I want to stay in the Permai resort in Oct 1st -3rd 2010 for 4 people. There are a few question that I need your consultation:

    – How to get to Permai resort hotel from KL airport? I heard that we should go by bus to KL central then after that take sky cable car – my friend told me that the cheapest and hassle-free to get to genting highlands – is that so in this case?

    – Is this far and expensive to go to the central of Genting ( I think theme park with the casino will be a good place worth a try)? Should I get there by taxi/bus/sky cable car?

    – Are there many places of interest, famous/cultural point, highlights nearby the Permai hotel resort?

    – Is there any suite that suite 4 or 5 people in one place so we can save cost and be together(it’s more fun)?

    – Is the promotion of COUPLE/FAMILY RETREAT PACKAGE still available? Thanks

Are there parking lots at the Genting Skyway Gotong Jaya since we drive to gotong jaya and would like to take cable car up to genting. Do we have to pay for the parking, if need to pay how much is the parking fee and is it safe to park there?

    Hi,
I’ll be traveling to genting from 10-12 April this year. I’ll be staying at the first world hotel and would really be interested to find out whether there is any day tour that I could join. I’m very interested in the strawberry farm, mushroom farm and the temple…
I know about how to get there via the public transportation available. However, I will be traveling alone and safety is top of my concerns.
    Many thanks!

In the commentary, you stated that the price is RM24 per 300gms, but down here you said that it is RM20 per kilo, so which is the correct one, considering that a source here http://resortsworldgenting.blogspot.com/2011/06/trip-down-hill-to-strawberry-farm.html states that it is RM24 per 300gms?

    Thanks! 🙂

We have just came back from the trip and manage to visit the Strawberry farm is quite interesting. To my experience we can,t see any buggy at the Gotong jaya station, After waiting for quite a while, a taxi driver approached us and we paid RM10 for 5 person, he first dropped us at a cholcolate shop and waited for us, after shopping then he send us to the farm.

We took the buggy (painted like a Strawberry) back to the cable car station instead. To my understanding, they have a banner hanged on the wall with a tel no. at Gotong Jaya basement station for passenger to call for pickup and have to pay RM2 per person.

Hope u guys have a happy journey.

      2) Grab a cab at the hotel to strawberry farm
